About SDC
Social Diversity for Children Foundation (SDC) is a Canadian registered charity that empowers youth to empower children with disabilities. SDC amplifies the voices of passionate young leaders who believe in equal opportunity, regardless of ability. Our charity number for the Canadian Revenue Agency is 806518437 RR0001.
SDC is a family; we are a group of individuals who care and support each other, and we are a team that operates through compassion. Together, we work to piece a puzzle that includes children of all abilities, ultimately to create the loving community we have always dreamed of.
By focusing on children with special needs and the transformative impact of leadership, SDC nurtures future leaders who dedicate their personal time, raise funds, and volunteer, providing social learning programs for over thousands of children with special needs. The Foundation enhances the capabilities of children from all backgrounds and offers skills and resources to youth leaders, fostering friendships between children with special needs and their peers. Ultimately, this creates a warm and caring community built on dreams of compassion and unity.
SDC values not only the promotion of its ideals but, more importantly, the determination to put these ideas into action. The youth leaders within the team work tirelessly to plan, organize, and execute specially designed programs and fundraising activities for children with special needs, relentlessly moving toward the Foundation’s vision of an inclusive and harmonious society.
About the Founder - David Wang
At just 15 years old, David Wang founded Social Diversity for Children Foundation (SDC) with a singular mission: empowering youth to empower children with special needs. Driven by a deep sense of love and compassion, David set out to create a space where children with special needs could feel supported, safe, and accepted—a place they could call their "second home."
David’s vision took shape through a variety of social programs that tapped into creative, academic, and emotional development. From art and music to math and drama, these programs were designed to engage children in ways that not only fostered learning but also built lasting friendships and confidence.
“From small beginnings, SDC has grown into a community where every child, regardless of their ability, can find a place to shine,” says David, reflecting on the Foundation’s journey.
Over the years, David's dedication drew attention and support from around the world, growing SDC into a global movement. His passion has brought communities together, offering resources and opportunities to children with special needs, while inspiring youth to lead with compassion. By expanding SDC’s reach, David has ensured that the Foundation can meet the evolving needs of the community, aiming to cultivate a culture of inclusivity, enthusiasm, and understanding.
Through his leadership, David has demonstrated how one individual’s passion can mobilize global efforts, bringing together diverse voices in pursuit of a shared goal: to create a more compassionate and inclusive society for all.

We empower youth to empower children with disabilities by educating younger generations about inclusivity and acceptance. We strive to equip the world’s future leaders with skills to engage in essential dialogue and to act as agents of change in their local communities.
VISION
The family connection is fostered by unconditional acceptance and friendship. We work toward a kinder, more understanding world in which we are all united as one family—a place where children with disabilities develop the confidence to become whomever they aspire to be.
VALUES
We’re all in this together. With full acceptance of our differences, we encourage a constant cycle of learning as we continuously better ourselves. From our staff to initiative participants, SDC is bonded by a lasting family connection that promotes unity and free expression for all.
